Description
The Advocacy Service Hub will fulfil the Councils statutory duties by providing the following functions: · Element A - Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service · Element B - Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy and Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) Relevant Person Representative (RPR) · Element C - Care Act & Generic Advocacy · Element D - Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy · Element E - Children's Advocacy.
The Advocacy Service Hub will support vulnerable individuals to:
live independently for longer in the community and ensure they are able to maximise their independence, choice and control and empower them to actively participate in the community have easy access to information, advice and signposting to enable them to make decisions about their own care and support needs, providing information in a range of accessible formats such as Easy Read, large print, audio, and multiple languages, as well as offering interpretation and translation services where required engage underrepresented groups, by working closely with community organisations and outreach networks ensure that all individuals can understand their rights, express their wishes, and fully participate in decisions about their care and treatment.
